"Long story short".. is how it usually starts for them. They met through their mutual friend, Marissa. Marissa is Hannah's best friend from college, but also is Garrett's close friend from back home in Fayetteville where they grew up and went to school together. They call her their little match maker.

However... that's not necessarily their entire story.

Yes, Marissa did introduce them, but they actually met for the first time during a bar crawl (how romantic) at East Carolina University. Hannah and Marissa were in line at a popular bar waiting to go in when Hannah was growing a bit inpatient and decided to bail. Oddly enough, as she started stepping under the retractable belt to get out of line, one handsome fella was trying to sneak to the front of the line at the same time.

Although it probably took about 10 seconds before Marissa screamed in excitement when she realized it was Garrett, Hannah and Garrett locked eyes for what seemed like at least a few minutes until they finally registered what was happening around them.

The other part that most people don't hear about is that later that night, Hannah confessed to Marissa that "it was love at first sight" and even went on to tell her that he would be her husband one day.

Little did Hannah know, Marissa was texting Garrett that entire night to ensure they finally met as she clearly knew that these two were meant to be. Hence, their little match maker.

They went on with their night and their lives for a bit, but then slowly reconnected through their mutual friend once again. Their friendly hang outs slowly turned into third wheel date nights and then eventually switched to some solo time for the new couple as they went onto their last year of undergrad.

Hannah and Garrett have been through a lot of life events since the first day they met, of course including some downs but plenty of ups to outweigh it all, continuously growing together to get them where they are today.

Settled into their new hometown of Huntersville, North Carolina with their little pet bunny, Buster, their lazy yet goofy golden retriever, Marvin, and their beautiful fun loving daughter, Harper -- they can't wait to continue their untraditional lives together officially as husband and wife.
